The Opportunity Hourly pay: $15–$17, based on experience and qualifications Employment: PRN/Part-Time Service area: Ravenel and surrounding communities in Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley Counties Shift lengths: 4–12 hours, depending on client needs and available assignments Scheduling: Days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights Training: In-house caregiver training and support Hours: Additional hours may be available based on client needs; full-time hours are not guaranteed A Day in the Life of a Visiting Angels Caregiver You’ll help clients maintain their routines, comfort, and independence through personalized, one-on-one non-medical care. Your responsibilities may include: Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygieneAssisting with walking, mobility, and transfersProviding medication remindersPreparing simple meals according to dietary instructionsAccompanying clients to appointments, pharmacies, stores, and other outingsHelping with light housekeeping and laundry related to client careOffering companionship, conversation, and emotional supportFollowing individualized care plans and safety guidelinesReporting changes in a client’s condition to the office What You’ll Bring to the Team We’re looking for caregivers who are patient, attentive, responsible, and comfortable working independently in a client’s home. Requirements: Professional in-home caregiving experience preferredCNA, PCA, HHA, or other hands-on caregiving experience welcomeValid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insuranceDependable transportation to client assignmentsStrong communication and active listening skillsAbility to follow care plans and remain calm in unexpected situationsSuccessful completion of required background and drug screenings Additional qualifications that are a plus: Dementia or Alzheimer’s care experienceCPR certificationExperience with Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, transfer benches, or walkers Training available for certain caregiving equipment.
