Home Health Aide - HomeCare

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on care in the home for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards and protocols.
• Works under the guidance and supervision of the staff nurse in providing personal care to the patients.
• Completes tasks assigned to a home health aide by the registered nurse or other appropriate skilled professional.
• Maintains an open communication process with the patient, representative (if any), caregivers, and family.
• Demonstrates competency with assigned tasks; complies with infection prevention and control policies and procedures; reports changes in the patient condition; and honors patient rights.

Requirements

• Driver's License from the State of Florida (Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of hire).
• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or HHA certification from an accredited 75-hour program.
• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• One year experience in home care (preferred).

Schedule

Full-Time Shift Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Weekend Work: None On Call: No Home visits in assigned service area: Pasco County surrounding areas
