Home Health Aide (HHA) / In-Home Caregiver
About the role
A home health aide (HHA), also known as an in-home caregiver or skilled nursing assistant (STNA), provides personal care services to individuals who are unable to perform daily activities independently due to illness, injury, or disability. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, and grooming. Additionally, aides may help with medication management, light housekeeping, and meal preparation.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming tasks
- Help patients with mobility and transfers between bed and wheelchair
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare providers
- Administer medications as prescribed by a healthcare provider
- Prepare and serve meals to patients
- Perform light cleaning and laundry tasks as needed
- Communicate regularly with patients' families and healthcare providers about patient progress and needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
- Previous experience in a caregiving or related field preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Shifts are typically scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of some weekend work.
