Home Health Aide / Companion Caregiver

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented Home Health Aide/Companion Caregiver to provide support and companionship for an elderly client. The ideal candidate will be dependable, attentive, and committed to promoting the client's well-being, safety, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and companionship for an elderly client
• Assist with daily walks (up to three miles daily)
• Promote the client's well-being, safety, and independence
• Document care services accurately

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
• Completion of a recognized training program for direct care workers or equivalent experience
• Experience in a caregiving role is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Empathetic and compassionate nature toward clients
• Ability to follow instructions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Ability to work both weekdays and weekends

Schedule

• Approximately 12 hours a day
• Weekend availability required
• Evening weekends mandatory
• Additional weekday hours available based on the family's needs

Pay

$16 to $20 per hour (based on experience and skillset)
