Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistive, non-skilled care per the Plan of Care and Home Health Aide scope of practice
- Assist with ADLs and IADLs
- Measure and document vital signs, intake, and hydration
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
- Support safe mobility and delegated exercises
- Perform light housekeeping and meal assistance as outlined in the Plan of Care
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
- Complete accurate, timely documentation in the agency-approved electronic health record system
- Follow infection control, safety, emergency preparedness, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements
- Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of vulnerable adults in accordance with Washington State mandatory reporting laws and agency policy
- Comply with OSHA standards, including the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan, and utilize required personal protective equipment
Required Qualifications
- Washington State CNA certification
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Washington State Food Worker’s Card (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication, documentation, and basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in-home health, hospice, or geriatric care
- Prior experience with electronic documentation systems
Pay & Benefits
- Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour (base rate); actual wage may vary based on assignment and applicable shift differentials
- Overtime is paid in accordance with Washington State and federal law
- Shift differential pay per agency policy
- Mandatory Washington meal and rest periods are paid and based on Washington State required break and meal periods
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees working 36+ hours per week
- 401(k) eligibility after 6 months of service for employees working 20+ hours per week
- Mileage reimbursement at $0.725 per mile
- Reimbursement for required CPR/BLS certification per agency policy
Conditions of Employment
- Employment contingent upon meeting agency health, immunization, and regulatory requirements
- Completion of required employment eligibility verification
- Execution of an Employment Contract and acknowledgment of receipt of the Employee Handbook are required as a condition of employment
- Washington State Patrol background check and disclosure required at hire and every two (2) years and as needed
- Driver’s Record Request required annually and as needed
- Reimbursement for required CPR/BLS certification per agency policy
