Home Health Aide CNA

About the role

The Home Health Aide CNA plays a vital role in providing essential personalized support and companionship to clients in their homes. This includes assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments. The role also involves meticulous documentation of services provided and proactive communication regarding any changes in the client's condition.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, changing bed linen, assisting with dressing and undressing, skin care to prevent breakdown, and assisting with toileting activities.
• Maintain a clean and orderly living area for the client.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals for the client.
• Absorb and record oral, rectal, and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency).
• Ambulate and exercise the client according to the plan of care.
• Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency).

Requirements

• Maintains training requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and verbally report clinical information to patients, representatives, and caregivers, as well as to other Home Health Agency staff and document care given.
• Possesses and maintains current BLS certification.
• ND CNA license.
• Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and the impaired.
• Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.

Qualifications

Pay

The posted compensation range for this position is $18.15 - $25.63 per hour, reflecting the reasonable estimate of what CommonSpirit Health might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, with 80 hours per week.
