Home Health Aide - Built-In Raises - Summit County

About the role

Haven Home Care is seeking caregivers in Summit County, Ohio. We offer competitive pay with three scheduled raises in your first two years, totaling a $2.00/hour increase if all three reviews are met.

Responsibilities

• Show up on time and follow call-off procedures if unable to make a shift.
• Provide excellent client care by following policies and reporting incidents within 24 hours.
• Stay in touch with clients and office staff promptly.
• Perform physical tasks such as helping with baths, dressing, meals, light cleaning, errands, and companionship.
• Do not give medicine or perform medical tasks, which are for nurses.

Requirements

• StNA license (active or expired): $18/hour
• HHA certificate or experience: $16-18/hour based on interview
• Experience under a licensed nurse: $16-18/hour based on interview
• No experience: $16/hour

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own a car with insurance covering work driving
• Must be available between 6AM-8PM (most work is 8AM-5PM)
• Must have legal right to work in the US

Pay

Starting rates vary based on qualifications:

• StNA license (active or expired): $18/hour
• HHA certificate or experience: $16-18/hour based on interview
• Experience under a licensed nurse: $16-18/hour based on interview
• No experience: $16/hour

Pay increases through performance-based raises: 30-day review: $0.50/hour, 1-year review: $0.50/hour, 2-year review: $1.00/hour.

Schedule

Shift lengths can be as short as 2-3 hours or as long as 8 hours, depending on client needs. Most shifts are spread across different days. Flexibility is provided based on your preferences shared during the phone interview.
