Home Health Aide
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support by engaging in conversation and recreational activities
- Perform household tasks such as changing bed linen, cleaning bathroom, cleaning living area, doing dishes, doing laundry, emptying trash, grocery shopping, making bed, mopping, picking up medications, sweeping, and vacuuming
- Auxiliary personal care services including assisting with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned, assisting into and out of the shower, assisting with dressing, assisting with toileting, assisting with transfers, brushing hair, and brushing teeth
Qualifications
- Caring and compassionate—enjoys helping others
- Willingness to learn new skills to best assist clients
- Preferred: Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance, or nursing assistance
- Highly desired: Applicants with CNA, PCA, RN, LPN, LVN, HHA certification
- Must have reliable transportation
