Home Health Aide

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as In-Home Caregivers in the Brandon, Pearl & Flowood areas. In this role, you will provide essential support to seniors and individuals in need, allowing them to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. Your work will have a direct impact on improving quality of life and providing peace of mind to both clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders
• Help with household tasks necessary for the client’s health care needs
• Accompany clients to appointments and outings
• Monitor and report changes in a client’s health or behavior
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience in home care or home health
• Must meet Mississippi state requirements for caregiving services
• Valid and current state driver’s license and insurance
• Safe and reliable transportation, with a vehicle available during assignments to assist clients with shopping if required
• Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings

Physical Demands

• Able to lift, move, and assist clients (notify the office if you cannot safely lift a client)
• Ability to safely assist clients in and out of a vehicle and lift a wheelchair or walker weighing up to 50 lbs
• Able to communicate effectively to exchange information
• Able to operate office equipment such as computers and phones
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Able to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping, walking, and driving
