Home Health Aide

About the role

The position qualifies for a $2500 sign on bonus with a 2-year commitment. The 3 installments are paid out over the two-year commitment period. This position will be housed primarily at the LIFE St Mary facility. However, occasional home care work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance maintaining the independence of the participant to conduct activities of daily living, including toileting, showers, eating, and grooming
• Absorb and provide behavioral supervision or support for participants, such as reality orientation, reminder to follow through with nursing and medication instruction, diet restrictions, and emotional reassurance
• Absorb and provide general activities such as conversing with participants, recreation activities, meal and snack serving, and housekeeping

Requirements

• Must be an active certified nurse assistant in the state where PACE Organization is located.
• Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Superior written/verbal communication skills.
• Must be customer focused, exercise independent judgment and flexibility to adapt to ongoing change.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and basic knowledge/experience with electronic mail and calendaring systems.

Qualifications

Position may require 10% local travel and use of personal vehicle.

Skills

• Ability to engage in frequent kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, sitting, walking, bending and lifting.
• Ability to push, pull, move and or lift a minimum of 20 pounds if applicable.
