Overview
As a Home Health Aide (HHA) with Personal Touch Home Care, you'll provide compassionate, personalized care to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities and supporting their overall well-being. You will play a crucial role in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with varying health needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety while moving around their homes.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with eating, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Medication Reminders: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and monitor their adherence to medication schedules.
- Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Monitoring Health: Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities, changes in condition, and any incidents.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program preferred.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Previous experience in home health care or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a focus on client-centered care.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
