About the role
The Home Health Aide will have the rewarding opportunity to provide personalized care and support to individuals in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with their daily needs, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Remind individuals to take their medication and offer help with administering it
- Keep track of vital signs and promptly communicate any changes to the healthcare team
- Take care of light household tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals that meet specific dietary requirements
- Engage in meaningful and compassionate conversations with clients
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients and their families
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved training program for Home Health Aides
- A valid certification as a Home Health Aide
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide
- Excellent communication and empathy skills with clients and their families
- Able to safely lift and move clients using proper body mechanics
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
