Home Health Aide

About the Role

Judson Home Care is looking for CERTIFIED Home Health Aides to join our dedicated and dynamic team on our Chagrin Falls campus. We believe care is more than tasks — it's compassion, dignity, and meaningful relationships. We're looking for dependable, caring professionals to provide high-quality home health assistance to clients in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and home health assistance according to each client's Care Plan
• Document all care accurately and timely in Smart Care
• Communicate changes in client condition, incidents, hospitalizations, or emergencies to the Resident Care Manager or On-Call Nurse
• Follow emergency procedures, including calling 911 for non-DNR clients when required
• Communicate scheduling changes directly with the Scheduler
• Practice universal precautions and follow all safety policies
• Other duties as may be assigned

Requirements

• Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (must complete within first quarter of hire if not already current)
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience caring for elderly or physically dependent individuals
• Compassionate, patient, reliable, and respectful
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Valid driver's license and insurance or state ID
• Commitment to Judson's philosophy of care

Education & Training

• Complete 12 hours of required in-service education annually
• Maintain current BLS/CPR certification
• Complete first aid training at least every 3 years

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand up to 8 hours and assist with transfers up to 150 lbs
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Short fingernails per policy
• Work environments vary and may include pets, smoking, travel, and family members
