Home Health Aide

About the Role

Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to serve patients and their families in Springfield and surrounding communities. The ideal candidate must be passionate about providing quality care and excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Assists the patient and family in achieving physical and emotional comfort as outlined in the patient's plan of care
• Provides support services under the supervision of clinical supervisors
• Promotes positive, supportive, and respectful communication to patients and their families

Requirements

• Certified by the state where services are provided as a Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide
• Minimum of one year of experience in hospice, home health, or geriatric care preferred (but not required for the right candidate)
• Must be of high integrity, including maintenance of confidential information and all patient records
• Works as a team player, following directions and adhering to defined care plans
• Demonstrated commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
• Must successfully pass background checks and drug screen
