Home health aide

About the role

At BAYADA, as a Home Health Aide (HHA) you will provide personal care services, household support, and companion care to help adults stay safe and independent at home, following a written plan of care by a registered nurse. You’ll develop close relationships with clients while assisting with activities of daily living, household tasks, meal preparation, exercises, ambulation, and medication reminders.

Responsibilities

• Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
• Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
• Meal preparation and feeding
• Range of motion/exercises
• Assisting with ambulation (transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
• Medication reminders
• Providing full care for a Danville male client, including lift, CPAP, and communication board

Requirements

• Previous home health care or patient care experience welcomed but not required
• Ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned
