Home Energy Specialist

This is a commission-based role with warm connections (people requesting an assessment). Average earnings are $95,000 annually—top earners have potential to earn $250,000+ annually. Holiday and paid time off are paid at $20 per hour.

About the role

The Home Energy Specialist helps homeowners become more energy efficient by performing Mass Save Home Energy Assessments. This role involves modeling homes in energy efficiency software, diagnosing energy usage problems, and recommending energy-saving measures such as insulation and high-efficiency heating and cooling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Mass Save home energy assessments.
• Utilize energy efficiency software to model homes and generate comprehensive energy savings reports.
• Recommend energy-saving measures such as insulation, LED lighting, and high-efficiency HVAC systems.
• Initiate sales and secure service contracts.
• Provide exceptional customer service and educate homeowners on energy efficiency benefits.
• Use effective sales techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and generate referrals.
• Organize and guide customers through paperwork processes.
• Install energy-saving products during assessments, including thermostats, water-saving devices, and power strips.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel.
• Previous customer service and sales experience preferred.
• MASS Save program knowledge a plus.
