Home Delivered Driver Per Diem

About the role

Per Diem position responsible for pick up and delivery of home delivered meals in an accurate, professional, and safe manner. Works in collaboration with the food service department for timely delivery within the catchment areas: East Boston, Revere, Winthrop, Chelsea, and Everett. Based at 143 Addison Street, Department: Food Service.

Responsibilities

• Present on time each day with proper personal hygiene, following dress code and wearing ID badge.
• Check route sheet and hot and cold carriers for accuracy; sign off on HDM sheet with cook before leaving kitchen.
• Make first stop at the furthest location from the kitchen and work back to Addison Street, marking the time each meal is delivered next to the participant’s name.
• Interact with participants in a professional, courteous, patient, and friendly manner.
• Follow all traffic laws and be personally responsible for any driving citations or parking tickets.
• Display the NeighborHealth-issued placard on the dashboard to identify the task.
• Listen to comments or complaints and report all issues back to the food service manager.
• Keep carriers closed and all meals inside the carrier until arrival at the destination.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, good working order, and sufficient fuel for assigned deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Driving experience preferred.
• Submit a true and attested driving record.

Pay

Starting at $20 up to $27 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Part-time.
