Home Care Occupational Therapist

About the role

We have an urgent need for Occupational Therapists. Compensation is up to $155,000 annually. The position covers Ventura, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Help patients and families adapt to their environment, modify tasks, and use equipment to improve participation in daily lives.
• Teach learning relaxation techniques to help patients manage stress and improve sleep habits.
• Teach patients how to protect their joints, manage chronic pain, and use adapted equipment.
• Evaluate patients, follow up with patients, and provide treatments 2 to 3 times per week.
• Assess home safety, perform range of motion exercises, strength training, and evaluate equipment for home use.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Certified as a CA Physical Therapist.
• CPR certified.
• Recent certification within the last year.
• Clear TB testing within the last year.
• Experience in occupational therapy, ranging from entry-level to seasoned.
• Ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• CA License for Physical Therapy.
• CPR Certification.
• Recent Physical Therapy Certification within the last year.
• Clear Tuberculin (TB) test within the last year.
• Experience in occupational therapy, including entry-level to seasoned experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques.
• Ability to assess and modify environments for patient needs.
• Experience with home safety assessments.
• Proficiency in documenting patient progress.
