Home Building Team Member

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and reliable team player to support and serve our Production team. The Team Member will safely build high-quality homes to specification, exceed key production targets, and maintain a strong company culture while working efficiently in a safe and organized environment.

Responsibilities

• Report to assigned Department Manager and review daily production goals.
• Read work orders and prints.
• Pull and stage materials for the department.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in home-building processes.
• Maintain updated tool training, equipment training, and equipment operation certifications.
• Lead by example in attendance, safety, quality, and production.
• Establish an adequate production pace to meet line roll and production schedules.
• Demonstrate a continuous willingness to learn, grow, and gain leadership understanding.
• Promote company culture, teamwork, quality goals, and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Assist other departments as needed based on production schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager/Production Managers.
• Work in conditions with continuous exposure to heat, cold, noise, and outdoor environments.
• Wear personal protective equipment while in production.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Available to work overtime and weekends to meet production schedules.
• Experience with power tools and hand tools (e.g., nail guns, utility knives, ladders, saws).
• Coachable demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience within the manufactured homes or construction industry.
• Bilingual (Spanish).
• Analytical skills and ability to solve problems or offer alternative solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Able to communicate via phone, email, and in person, exchanging accurate information.
• Work environment is not temperature-controlled and may involve exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Primarily involves standing, up to 4 hours at a time.

Pay

$25 per hour
