Home-based Community Habilitation DSP
About the role
At Ability Beyond, we’re looking for passionate individuals to support adults with developmental and physical disabilities, helping them live their best lives in our day programs or out in the community. The Ability Beyond community habilitation program serves individuals throughout Westchester County with flexible hours and schedules. You can work part time, full time, or as per diem staff. The individuals in the program are eager to learn and want you to be part of our team. Community Habilitation is a Medicaid‑funded program that provides one‑to‑one training to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities to develop or enhance the skills needed to live more independently in their homes and in the community. Our person‑centered approach helps individuals improve independent living skills and participate in social and recreational activities. We support individuals who live in group homes, on their own independently, or with their families, tailoring support to meet each person’s unique needs. You’ll make a real impact by helping adults with disabilities learn new skills, become more independent, and enjoy life—every day is different, and you’ll feel great knowing you’re making a difference.
