About the role

The Holistic Health Outreach Coordinator reports directly to the Assistant Director of Administrative Operations for all primary supervisory matters. The Assistant Director of Holistic Health Outreach leads the day-to-day management and strategic guidance for outreach operations and health education initiatives. Working within the Division of Health, Well-being and Safety, the Coordinator supports Student Health Services (SHS) by increasing awareness and utilization of preventive services, coordinating multidisciplinary programs with campus partners, and managing SHS digital communications.

This role ensures the seamless delivery of outreach services—including support for SWIFT, Case Management, and CAPS—while operating under the administrative oversight of the Assistant Director of Administrative Operations. This role collaborates with campus partners and external stakeholders to deliver multidisciplinary health education programs, coordinates on-campus service access initiatives such as mobile vision and dental clinics, and represents SHS and the Division of Holistic Health in campus and divisional planning and coordination efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Increasing awareness and utilization of preventive services
  • Coinciding multidisciplinary programs with campus partners
  • Managing SHS digital communications
  • Ensuring the seamless delivery of outreach services
  • Representing SHS and the Division of Holistic Health in campus and divisional planning and coordination efforts
  • Managing SHS social media and website content
  • Supervising student assistants (when applicable)

Requirements

  • Experience independently planning, coordinating, and implementing moderately complex student programs or outreach initiatives, including events, campaigns, or service-access efforts
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and supporting students in navigating institutional systems, services, and resources
  • Experience using assessment data, participation metrics, or student feedback to evaluate programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Experience representing a department or program in campus meetings, committees, or cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience coordinating large-scale or campus-wide outreach events or initiatives
  • Experience collaborating with multiple campus departments, student organizations, and external partners to deliver coordinated programs or services

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization
  • Abilities in project management, problem identification and reasoning skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and maintain a student-centered, inclusive approach
  • Skill in using digital communication tools, such as websites, social media platforms, and electronic outreach systems
  • Ability to collect, track, and summarize program or outreach data to support evaluation and improvement efforts
  • Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems
  • Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance
  • Skill in written and verbal communication, including presenting information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques
