Holiday Relief HGV Driver

About the role

The Holiday Relief HGV Driver will join the Plant Hire and Transport division at Lindum Business Park, North Hykeham. The role involves driving and operating a wide range of HGVs on an as-required basis, including plant and equipment deliveries, primarily across Lincolnshire, Humberside, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, and surrounding counties.

Responsibilities

• Drive articulated and rigid HGV vehicles, including tippers and Hiab lorries.
• Operate artic low loaders and bulk aggregate tipping vehicles.
• Maintain personal tachograph records and carry out daily defect checks.
• Deliver plant and equipment around the region.
• Perform cabin moves/installations and operate crane lorries.
• Switch between vehicles as required.
• Maintain effective communication with the dispatch team and customers to provide delivery status updates.
• Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Full Class 1 HGV licence.
• Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification.

Reporting

You will report to the Transport Manager and work closely with the Hire Manager and Coordinators.
