Regular hours. Home every day. Join Selco as a Class 2 HGV Driver and become part of a branch team delivering building materials directly to our customers across the local area. You’ll be driving a 26-tonne HGV fitted with a HIAB, making multi-drop deliveries to local customer sites and homes. Already have HIAB experience? Great. If not, don’t let that stop you applying — HIAB training will be provided for the right candidate. We want to be clear about what you can expect from the role: Salary £37,720.80 pro rata (£16.12 p/h) plus earn up to £150 a month personal performance bonusBasic working week of 45 hoursMonday to Friday, 06:30–16:301-hour lunch break each dayAlternate Saturday shift rota – paid at time-and-a-halfOvertime available to suit business needsAll overtime is paid at time-and-a-halfLocal deliveries with no nights away You’ll be based from your Selco branch, returning to the branch at the end of your working day. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to local customer sites and homesDriving a 26-tonne Class 2 HGV with HIABSafely unloading building materials using the HIABCompleting daily vehicle and safety checksMaking sure your load is safe and secure before leaving the branchProviding great customer service at every deliveryWorking closely with the branch team to keep deliveries running smoothlyFollowing all relevant driving, safety and legal requirements What We're Looking For A current Category C / Class 2 driving licenceValid Driver CPCDigital tachograph cardA strong approach to safe and responsible drivingGood customer service skillsA positive attitude with a can do approach to tasks We’ll also support you in keeping your professional qualifications up to date, with a paid Driver CPC course provided each year.
