Hoist and Automation Repair Technician

About the role

The Hoist and Automation Repair Technician repairs equipment including but not limited to: manual and electric chain hoists, Kinesys automation systems, and lifting and rigging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, and maintain electric and manual chain hoists.
• Repair and maintain rigging equipment, truss, and flight cases.
• Maintain the work area.
• Repair electrical and/or mechanical faults in electric chain hoists and automation products, including ancillary equipment such as power distribution and machinery control systems.
• Carry out limited electronic repairs to the circuit board level.
• Modify and upgrade Christie Lites Official Rental Product Line equipment to Christie Lites standards as specified in technical notes.
• Order parts required for repair.
• Inspect and certify lifting equipment based on regional standards and directives at designated intervals, per company standards documents.
• Ensure all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage at the end of the shift.
• Keep an updated inventory of parts and tools in the department.
• Record all repairs in the Nexus Service software module.
• Upload all passed certification documents to NEXUS or SharePoint.

Pay

Starting pay: $20.00 per hour
