HM 183 Cargo Tank Inspector

About the role

This role involves being a Cargo Tank Inspector and Lead Trailer Mechanic at Altom Transport's Chicago terminal. The full-service maintenance facility works on the company’s private fleet.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cargo tanks for compliance with regulations
• Work as a lead trailer mechanic, overseeing and performing maintenance tasks
• Take initiative and prioritize work while ensuring repairs are completed
• Show creativity and dedication in addressing maintenance issues
• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks
• Have liquid tanker and HM183 experience

Requirements

• Self-starter who works collaboratively with management
• Ability to prioritize work and complete repairs
• Verifiable mechanical experience and personal tools
• General maintenance and repair experience
• Liquid tanker experience
• HM183 experience
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required

Pay

$75,000 - $100,000 based on location and experience
