HIV Prevention Specialist

Essential Functions

• Provides HIV pre- and post-test counseling services, according to CHN, Federal and State Guidelines.
• Facilitates Evidence Based Interventions (EBIs).
• Coordinates HIV testing services with clinic staff.
• Documents Progress Notes on Electronic Health Records.

Certification/License Required

• Basic understanding of HIV transmission and prevention strategies (like PrEP and PEP).
• Demonstrated experience or deep comfort level working with diverse populations, including but not limited to, the LGBTQ+ population and/or communities heavily impacted by HIV.
