HIV Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to manage a diverse patient panel with a focus on HIV treatment and prevention. Responsibilities include conducting acute, chronic, and wellness visits in-office, testing centers, and via telehealth, as well as collaborating with clinical teams through daily huddles and ongoing learning opportunities. The role involves utilizing clinical training to perform procedures and provide evidence-based primary care, emphasizing human-centered patient interactions and effective use of technology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct acute, chronic, and wellness visits in-office, testing centers, and via telehealth
• Collaborate with clinical teams through daily huddles and ongoing learning opportunities
• Perform procedures and provide evidence-based primary care
• Emphasize human-centered patient interactions and effective use of technology

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited NP or PA program with national certification
• State licensure in California
• Proficiency in HIV pathophysiology, treatment protocols, pharmacology, and co-morbidities
• Experience practicing as an Advanced Practitioner in outpatient primary care with an HIV patient panel for at least 2 years in the past 5 years
