Hitter's House Sales Clerk-1
About the Role
The Hitter's House Salesclerk will be responsible for assisting customers with locating items, providing product information and creating a positive and welcoming shopping experience for all customers. The role involves totaling bills accurately, accepting payments, exchanging merchandise and maintaining an organized checkout area. You will play a critical role in maintaining store operations, ensuring shelves are stocked, and the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and restock shelves, counters or tables with merchandise as needed
- Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise to promote sales according to company standards
- Stamp, mark, or tag prices on merchandise
- Obtain merchandise requested by customer or receive merchandise selected by customer
- Answer customer questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise
- Total price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill
- Accurately handle payments, provide correct change, and professionally wrap or bag merchandise to ensure a seamless and satisfying customer experience
- Remove and record the amount of cash in register at end of shift
- Calculate sales discount to determine price
- Keep record of sales, prepare inventory of stock and order merchandise as needed
- Keep the showroom clean and orderly
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Experience: At least two years of related experience preferred
Skills
- Sports knowledge preferred
