About the role

The position is located at 705A Histology Lab - Histology Tech within the Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) services department.

Responsibilities

• Receive surgical pathology specimens.
• Accesion specimens into Cerner.
• Collect tissue blocks from Pathologists and Pathologists' Assistants.
• Process, embed, and section tissue specimens.
• Perform routine staining of histology slides.
• Support the Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) departments.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pathology Laboratory.
• Required Certification: ASCP Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL).
• Education: Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program or Associate's degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences.

Qualifications

No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.
