Additional Information About The Role

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Histotechnician II at Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MBMC) - Surgical Pathology Dept. Sign-On Bonus (for eligible applicants).

Position Details

• Monday thru Friday
• 12 Hour Shifts, 3 Days Per Week
• 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Experience

• Prefer 2-3 years of Histo (embedding/microtomy) experience
• Embedding, microtomy and IHC experience (preferred)
• Histology Technician, Histologist, HISTOTECHNICIAN, Histotechnician, Histo Technician, Histology Technician, histotechnician, Histotehnologist, Histotech, Histotechnologist
• Certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), histotechnology

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of histotechnician experience preferred
• HT (ASCP) or equivalent required

The Clinical Laboratory at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is committed to improving the health and wellness of patients through our expertise in laboratory medicine and strong customer service. The laboratory performs over 1 million tests annually with a focus on providing accurate and timely results and services to patients and the community we serve. The laboratory is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).
