Histotechnician - Anatomic Pathology

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Histotechnician to perform histologic procedures on patient specimens, prepare quality slides for pathologists, assist with frozen sections, and manage chemical solutions and waste.

Responsibilities

• Specimen processing
• Fixation
• Embedding
• Microtomy
• Staining
• Managing immunohistochemical procedures
• Adhering to quality control and departmental standards

Qualifications

• 2-year accredited histological technician program
• NY State licensure
• ASCP certification

Skills

• Strong understanding of SOPs
• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Effective communication skills

Schedule

Full-time hours, primarily during weekdays.
