History Teacher

About the role

The Upper School History Teacher will lead history classes, engage students in critical thinking and discussion, and contribute to the overall academic success of the school.

Responsibilities

• Teach history courses to high school students
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and projects
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units
• Mentor and support students' social and emotional development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in History or related field
• Experience teaching high school history
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Pass a criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Excellent classroom management skills
• Effective time management and organization
• Ability to adapt to changing educational needs

Pay

• $60,000 annually

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
