About the Role
Holy Cross High School, a Catholic college preparatory school in Queens, New York, is searching for qualified candidates to fulfill a new position in their History Department. The school educates the hearts and minds of young people following the educational and spiritual vision of Blessed Father Basil Moreau, founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross. Responsibilities
- Teach Regents-level coursework and possible elective courses, including Political Science, Economics, and Global History 2.
- Plan and implement curriculum aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards.
- Tailor curriculum to engage students with computer-supported instruction.
- Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards.
- Participate in the school community and professional development.
- Effectively manage all classes.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in education or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.
