Responsibilities
- Purchasing, organizing, and preparing camp materials (in collaboration with the Educational Services division)
- Training paraeducators and filling paraeducator vacancies (as needed)
- Communicating with the district office, campsites, school sites, and teacher teams to facilitate registration, materials, transportation, donations, and schedule modifications
- Cooking accommodations for students with special needs
- Supervising paraeducators and volunteers
- Providing instruction to students
Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid California Teaching Credential
- Valid California Driver's License
Comments and Other Information
This position is paid a stipend of $2,792 per camp, paid after the conclusion of the camp. ***The Hands on History Coordinator is ideal for a retired teacher, a Job-Share teacher, or a substitute teacher who can commit to days of camp and time planning for the camp.
