History Adjunct
Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) is a two-year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. The college serves the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt (northern portion), and Rockbridge; the cities of Buena Vista, Covington, and Lexington; and the town of Clifton Forge. About the role
Mountain Gateway Community College seeks applicants to teach history courses for the Fall Semester. Courses may be offered during day and evening schedules. Telework options are subject to change based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach history courses as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor
Requirements
- Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in History or American Civilization
- Prior teaching experience
- Experience with online learning
- Experience serving at-risk student populations
Additional Considerations
- Teaching experience at the college level
Pay
$750 - $1,200 per credit hour
