Job Summary
This role provides customer assistance, tours, and cashiering services to the public at the Waco Mammoth National Monument (WMNM) historic site. It requires a customer-focused individual with 1 year of customer service experience, a valid Texas Driver's License, and successful completion of background checks.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 year customer service experience
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Successful completion of any additional background checks required for the position, which may include a CJIS background check, federal background check, or other applicable screenings (e.g., FAA).
Essential Functions
- Provides courteous service to the public with tours and information, fee collection and merchandise sales; performs duties within scope of authority and training and in compliance with City policies.
- Led tours of the WMNM and explains history and details of the historic site.
- Maintains cash and fund accounts and records.
- Aids with merchandising, special events, and museum programs; cleans and maintains facilities and grounds.
- Operates a City utility vehicle to access various work sites and transport people, equipment, and materials; occasionally uses a personal vehicle to attend community outreach and engagement events.
