Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing all phases of tissue processing from fixation through final slide preparation
• Performing special stains and histological techniques as required
• Maintaining all files, records, and documentation in compliance with state and federal licensing requirements
• Cleaning, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment and instruments
• Stocking supplies and ensuring appropriate inventory levels
• Performing other duties as assigned in support of pathology services

Qualifications

• Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Preferred: Technical program completion in Histotechnology
• Associate’s degree in a related field
• Experience Preferred: Laboratory-related experience
• Licensure / Certification Required: ASCP Certified Histotechnician
• PREFERRED: ASCP Certified Histotechnologist
