Histocompatibility Technologist 2

About the role

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a skilled Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics Technologist to join our state-of-the-art lab located in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular methods, antibody screening, and flow cytometry.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused care in a clinical setting through Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) typing using molecular methods.
• Perform data analysis and interpretation of HLA alleles and haplotype frequency.
• Isolate Lymphocytes from Peripheral Blood, Spleen, and Lymph nodes.
• Perform cellular based antibody screening by Flow Cytometry Crossmatch and perform initial analysis and data interpretation.
• Generate initial crossmatch and antibody screening reports for manager and director final review.
• Able to collect requests from transplant coordinators and physicians to be transferred to the laboratory Manager and Director.

Qualifications

• Certifications: Histocompatibility Technologist - American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI)
• Relevant Work Experience: 1 year
• Education: Bachelor's degree
