HIS Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of Health Information Services and Transcription
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
• Lead departmental strategy and drive employee engagement
• Promote a culture aligned with organizational values including quality, service, teamwork, and compassion
• Manage budgets, staffing, policies, and performance programs
• Serve as a key resource for clinical and administrative teams
• Support superior patient and caregiver experiences
• Foster accountability
• Develop staff
• Ensure accurate documentation and records management

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of ICD-9-CM and CPT coding principles, case-mix systems, and JCAHO standards
• Demonstrated effective planning and organizing abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of computers and their capabilities
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience in Health Information Management
• Must be a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), an Accredited Health Information Technician (RHIT), or possess a bachelor's degree in a related field
