Hiring Wheel Throwing Instructors

About the role

The Creative Arts Studio is a do-it-yourself art studio specializing in pottery painting and wheel-throwing. Additional artistic activities such as mosaic art and glass fusing are available on a walk-in basis and through classes and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Become knowledgeable in basic pottery painting, mosaic art, and glass fusing techniques to assist guests in their creative pursuits.
• Instruct beginner and intermediate 6-week, wheel-throwing workshops.
• Instruct children (age 7+) through adults in hour-long private, semiprivate, and group wheel-throwing lessons.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests who come into the studio to create.
• Multi-task effectively due to the fast-paced nature of the studio.

Requirements

• Proficiency in wheel-throwing.
• Outgoing and creative personality.
• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Evening and/or weekend availability preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in pottery painting, mosaic art, and glass fusing is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests of all ages.

Pay
