Hiring Speech Language Pathologist -

About the role

The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for conducting student evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing speech therapy services in accordance with each student's individualized plan of care and applicable physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
• Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to address identified speech and language needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective communication support
• Document progress and communicate with families and other team members about treatment outcomes
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology

Requirements

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in California
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by contract
• Compliance with all professional standards of practice
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (per contract or state requirements)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and adolescents
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of speech-language pathology
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for supporting students with special needs
