Hiring Seniors for Part Time Caregiving

About the role

The Caregiver role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care, such as bathing, eating, and personal hygiene. Caregivers typically work with elderly or disabled individuals in a home setting.

Responsibilities

• Aid clients with ambulation and mobility
• Aid clients with personal care, hygiene, bathing, and toileting
• Perform shopping trips and light housekeeping duties, prepare meals
• Remind clients about their medications
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Communicate clearly with clients, family members, and team members

Requirements

• Previous caregiver experience preferred
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Adherence to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive Pay: $20-22/hr or based on experience
