Hiring Phlebotomist II in Madison WI 53703

Local contract position in Madison, WI (53703) with a 3-month initial term and potential for extension.

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Flexible availability required, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs

Pay

$25/hour (rate based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education)

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Work independently with minimal on-site supervision
• Perform phlebotomy on pediatric and geriatric patients, including capillary collections
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including dress code, health & safety, and guiding principles
• Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise sound judgment
• Travel to multiple locations (Patient Service Centers and in-office phlebotomy sites) with minimal notice
• Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
• Demonstrate superior customer focus; communicate openly with peers, supervisors, and patients
• Keyboard and data entry tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (required)
• 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (preferred)
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment (highly preferred)
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
• Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic (preferred)
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
