About the role

Obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing. Responsible for drawing blood on patients ranging from infants to geriatrics. Ability to work in a fast paced and hectic environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing
• Use straight needles and draw 50+ times per day
• Draw blood on patients ranging from infants to geriatrics
• Work in a fast paced and hectic environment
• Label specimens and handle all specimens properly
• Process specimens for laboratory testing

Requirements

• 2 years experience outside of school (REQUIRED)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Schedule

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA. This is a fully onsite position in Chesapeake, VA.
