About the role

Opengate Inc. is a mission-driven nonprofit organization seeking compassionate, dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Somers, New York!

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
  • Participate in activities that promote socialization and independence
  • Support individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Previous experience working with the I/DD population preferred
  • SCIP-R Certified preferred
  • AMAP Certified preferred
  • First Aid/CPR Certified preferred
