About the Role

As a caregiver at All Ways Caring HomeCare, you will provide compassionate, in-home personal care and support to clients, helping them maintain their dignity, privacy, and independence. Your role is vital in delivering individualized care tailored to each client’s needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Provide mouth and denture care, shaving, and nail care (no cutting)
• Assist with eating and feeding as needed
• Help with transferring, ambulation, and changing the client’s body position
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping
• Run errands and assist with community outings
• Operate and maintain household equipment (e.g., vacuum, stove, washer, dryer)
• Change linens and make beds
• Clean kitchens, including washing dishes, pots, and pans
• Remind clients to take medications
• Recognize and respond to signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation
• Follow emergency procedures and know how to prevent accidents (e.g., burns, falls, fires)
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read and write adequately for required documentation
• Ability to work well with aged and disabled individuals with limited functioning capacity
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of handling confidential information responsibly
• Ability to work independently
• Current and active First Aid and CPR certification
• Physically able to perform job tasks; free of communicable diseases of major public health concern (verified by a physician)
• Empathy and emotional maturity to respond to clients and situations responsibly
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of people
• No conviction of a crime substantially related to the dependent population or any violent crime
• Knowledge of the Vulnerable Adult Act and procedures for reporting abuse, neglect, or exploitation
• Access to reliable transportation

Pay

USD $13.00 – $15.00 per hour
