Job Summary

This is an onsite position at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.

About the Role

R1 is the leading provider of technology-driven solutions that transform the patient experience and financial performance of hospitals, health systems and medical groups. You will help ensure every newborn's birth is accurately documented and reported.

Responsibilities

• Support parents in completing birth worksheets, paternity acknowledgments, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing, providers, and HIM to resolve documentation discrepancies and ensure timely registration.
• Maintain compliance with state vital records regulations, HIPAA, and hospital policies.
• Aid in audits, quality checks, and accurate recordkeeping for birth documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in HIM, medical records, or Vital Records preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data entry skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and work independently.

Benefits

• Base pay range: $16.61 - $22.95 per hour.
• Individual pay determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
