Hilo Driver

About the role

Move merchandise throughout the warehouse from receiving to a customer’s car door. Carefully move product from staging or storage areas into trucks or trailers, and slot product as needed. Complete all required paperwork to support warehouse functions, including tagging or marking orders upon request.

Responsibilities

• Follow warehouse operational procedures, including sorting, loading/unloading activities, product processing, and documentation.
• Count all inbound product, compare to the manifest, and inspect for damage, infestation, and production dates; report discrepancies to the appropriate manager.
• Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy in quantity, quality, labeling, and consignee address against customer orders.
• Safely and efficiently operate machinery and equipment, including forklifts, to assist in loading and unloading product.
• Participate in physical inventories as required.
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas while adhering to safety and security protocols.
• Perform Order Filler and Checker duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• One year of experience in a related area, such as service, production, or support roles.
• Experience leveraging technology for daily tasks, including familiarity with MS Office, web navigation, and basic hardware functions.
• Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with internal teammates and business units.
• Proven track record of taking initiative, working with urgency, and demonstrating assertiveness.

Physical Demands

• Consistently sit, talk, and hear; climb, crouch, or crawl as necessary.
• Operate equipment using hands and fingers, and manually carry or move merchandise.
• Drive or ride in a motor vehicle.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
