Hilo Driver

Move merchandise throughout the warehouse from receiving to a customer’s car door. Complete required paperwork, tag or mark orders, and carefully move product from staging or storage areas into trucks or trailers. Comply with all safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for warehouse operational procedures including sorting, loading/unloading activities, product processing, and documentation.
• Count all inbound product, compare to the manifest, and check for damage, infestation, and production dates; report shortages, overages, or damage to the appropriate manager.
• Compare quantity, quality, labeling, and consignee address to customer orders to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct.
• Safely and efficiently operate machinery and equipment, including forklifts, to assist in loading/unloading product.
• Participate in physical inventories as required.
• Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas while promoting safety.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
• Perform Order Filler and Checker duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• One year of experience in a related area (e.g., warehouse operations, logistics).
• Experience with technology, including MS Office applications, web navigation, and basic hardware functions.
• Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with internal teammates and business units.
• Proven track record of taking initiative and working with urgency and assertiveness.

Physical Demands

• Consistently sit, talk, and hear; climb, crouch, or crawl when necessary.
• Operate equipment using hands and fingers; manually carry and move merchandise.
• Drive or ride in a motor vehicle.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
