About the role

To carry out general maintenance works and operations, working with a Chargehand, undertaking a wide range of routine and cyclical works. To respond to emergencies and call outs during or out of hours on rotas as required and assist with winter maintenance activities as a second man or driver’s mate. Includes apprentices who have fully completed training.

Responsibilities

• Apply a wide range of generalist skills
• Understand and apply risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Carry out work as set out in a specification
• Use small plant and equipment, including operating a mini excavator
• Complete record sheets, paper or electronic
• Take responsibility for plant and equipment
• Use own initiative
• Ensure own safety and that of those around you
• Respond to emergency and/or winter call outs

Requirements

• Generally hold 12 months+ experience
• Undertaken training on: General health & safety awareness, Risk assessment awareness, Traffic Management, Use of PDA as required
• Current Driving License
• CSCS card if client requirement
• Potential and interest in obtaining LGV licence

Schedule

Full Time – 40 hours per week – Variable Shift Pattern
